Peace envoy appointed to Riyadh
Following the media reports on the resumption of diplomatic relations between the Islamic Republic and Saudi Arabia, the negotiations that were initially under the supervision of the National Security Council and pursued in Baghdad, finally resulted in the signing of an agreement for the resumption of relations between the two countries with the presence of Ali Shamkhani, the Secretary of the National Security Council, in Beijing. Exclusive and informed sources at Iran Gate in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Iran Gate news agency that Hassan Zarengar, a diplomat in the Arab region who previously served as Iran’s representative in Kuwait and Oman, will go to Riyadh as the envoy of the Islamic Republic.
