The head of the Mazandaran Veterinary Department has announced the outbreak of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever in Mazandaran.

The Mazandaran Veterinary Department states that livestock in the western cities of Mazandaran are more susceptible to this disease due to their proximity to Gilan, Alborz, Qazvin, Tehran, and Karaj. Currently, cases of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever have been identified in some areas of the province, especially in the cities of Noshahr, Chalus, Kojur, and Kelardasht.
