Emergency landing of Tehran to Beijing flight in Kazakhstan

Iranian media have reported that last night a Mahan Airlines plane made an emergency landing in Almaty, the capital of Kazakhstan, due to a technical malfunction.

So far, no detailed information about this technical malfunction has been released.

Tasnim News Agency also wrote that after this emergency landing, Mahan Airlines dispatched another Airbus plane to transfer passengers to Kazakhstan, but due to the strict laws of the country, it was not granted permission to land at Almaty airport and returned to Iran.

Although Tasnim has stated that the denial of landing permission to Mahan Airlines is not related to sanctions, Mahan Airlines, due to extensive European and American sanctions, does not have permission to fly to most foreign destinations and its international flights are very limited.
