Vahid Moradi’s execution is scheduled for Thursday.
On 2 July 2018, a bloody clash occurred in the prison courtyard between several groups of inmates, resulting in the murder of Vahid Moradi.
Vahid Moradi, a notorious Tehran criminal known as the ‘Tehran Eagle’, murdered his friend named Hossein at a party in Velenjak in April 2018.
After committing this crime, he planned to flee to Turkey but was arrested by authorities 500 meters from the border.
Vahid was transferred to Rajai Shahr Prison, but just a few weeks after his arrest, he was murdered.
After reviewing the prison’s CCTV footage, conducting investigations, and gathering evidence, Saeed Saleh was ultimately identified as the main perpetrator of this crime.
He has been arrested and imprisoned on charges of murdering a young man.
After approximately 5 years since the crime, Vahid Moradi’s father signed the execution order, stating that he has raised his orphaned grandchild for 5 years, and the execution is not only his own wish but also the wish of his 10-year-old grandson and his bride.
