The final contract for the purchase of Su-35 from Russia has been concluded

The final agreement for the purchase of Su-35 fighter jets from Russia has been concluded.

After the end of the Iran-Iraq war in 1988, the Islamic Republic approached several countries to buy fighter aircraft, and Russia announced its readiness to sell.

The Su-35 fighters are considered acceptable in terms of technology, which is why, following the lifting of restrictions on conventional arms purchases by the Islamic Republic in October 2020, as per UN Security Council Resolution 2231, the decision to purchase these fighter jets was finally approved.
