Secret negotiations between Iran, Beijing, and Moscow

Politico magazine has reported on Iran’s behind-the-scenes negotiations with China and Russia to acquire solid rocket fuel, which is a violation of UN sanctions. There are concerns that Tehran may seek Moscow’s help in completing its missile stockpiles.

According to American magazine Politico, citing diplomats familiar with the matter, there have been confidential talks between Beijing, Moscow, and Tehran regarding solid rocket fuel for ballistic missiles.

The report states that Iran’s negotiations, in conjunction with relevant Chinese and Russian entities, including the state-owned company FKP Anozit, have been conducted to obtain significant amounts of ammonium perchlorate (AP), which is the main propellant used in ballistic missile fuel.
