Names of the Victims of Protests on Aghdashloo's Dress at the Oscars

The names of the victims of the protests are written on the dress of Shahreh Aghdashloo at the Oscars.

Shahreh Aghdashloo, an Iranian actress residing in the United States, appeared at the ongoing Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles wearing a shirt. On one side of the skirt, the names of Mahsa Amini, Hajar Abbasi, and Nika Shakeri were written. On the other side, the slogan ‘A woman’s life, freedom, and the martyrdom of Mahsa Amini in detention due to the hijab, which led to the recent protests in Iran’ was written. Hajar Abbasi was an elderly woman who was among the first victims of the protests in Mahabad, and Nika Shakeri was a 16-year-old girl whose body was handed over to her family after 11 days of disappearance. This year, Nazanin Boniadi, an actress and political activist, said to Bahman Kalbasi at the ceremony that she came to be the voice of the protests in Iran.
