The first Emirati astronaut headed to the International Space Station

On Friday, March 2nd, a spacecraft from SpaceX carried four astronauts to the International Space Station, one of whom is the first Arab astronaut to go to the station with this spacecraft.

According to the Associated Press, the Falcon rocket was successfully launched into orbit from the Kennedy Space Center in the United States shortly after midnight local time, and it is expected that the spacecraft carrying the astronauts will reach the International Space Station on Saturday.

Two American astronauts and one Russian astronaut are the other three passengers who will accompany the capsule on the SpaceX mission to the International Space Station.

More than 80 spectators and special guests from the United Arab Emirates were present at the rocket launch site to witness the journey of Sultan Al Neyadi, the second Emirati astronaut, who is going to the space station for a 6-month research mission.
