Reactions to Iran's Nuclear Program Progress: Israeli Officials Travel to the United States

Reactions to Iran’s nuclear program progress and Israeli officials’ trip to the US

Axios reports that American and Israeli officials will discuss Iran’s nuclear program in Washington next week. At the same time, The Intercept has reported that the US military has allocated budgets for covert operations related to a military strike against Iran.

The publication, citing unnamed American and Israeli officials, reports that it is expected that Ron Dermer, the Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs, and Zacchaeus Hangby, a National Security Advisor, will travel to Washington next week.

Axios states that both Ron Dermer and Zacchaeus Hangby, who have strong positions against Iran, are expected to meet with the Secretary of State and the National Security Advisor of the Biden administration.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, and other officials in the country have emphasized in recent weeks that there must be a credible military threat against Iran in order to deter them from building nuclear weapons.
