The Wall Street Journal, citing officials from both countries, wrote that Saudi Arabia has accepted Iran International’s critical tone towards the Islamic Republic.
Iran has accused this television network, which is allegedly financed by Arab merchants according to The Wall Street Journal, of inciting unrest in the country, and the Minister of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic has called it a terrorist organization.
However, a spokesperson for VOA Media, the owner of Iran International, has rejected these statements in an interview with The Wall Street Journal and called the network independent.
