Officials' reaction to the gas release and dust in the metro was related to construction activities

In response to the news published this morning, Masoud Darsti, the CEO of Tehran Metro, denied the news of gas leakage at the Eram Sabz metro station.

He told Shargh TV that the observed dust was due to construction activities and emphasized that these activities should be stopped.

Yesterday, following the release of a video showing smoke coming out of a metro car at Shahid Beheshti station, the metro’s public relations confirmed the smoke release but stated that it was caused by a technical malfunction of one of the trains, strongly denying rumors of toxic smoke spreading in the metro.
