An Iranian student has died in the earthquake in Turkey, according to the Ministry of Science in Iran.

Hashem Dadashpour, the head of the Student Affairs Organization at the Ministry of Science, said that only one Iranian student, who was studying at a university in Cyprus, was present in the earthquake-stricken areas in Turkey. Unfortunately, he lost his life in this incident. Mr. Dadashpour mentioned that the earthquake in Turkey occurred during the break between two academic terms, and some of our students had been transferred.

The devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria last month has claimed more than forty-four thousand lives so far.
