Iranian police announced the arrest of 30,000 thieves in two months

Iranian police have announced the arrest of 30,000 thieves in two months.

According to the statement by the command of the Islamic Republic’s law enforcement, 30,000 home and car thieves have been arrested in the country in the past two months.

On Friday, the command of the law enforcement announced that during the mentioned period, approximately 20 interprovincial theft networks and about 100 armed and violent robbery gangs were identified in the provinces.

The high rate of theft in Iran and the increasing trend of this crime continue, and police and judicial authorities have repeatedly declared poverty as its main cause in recent years.

The Iranian Ministry of Labor had reported in its latest annual poverty monitoring report, published in December 1401, about the significant increase in the number of poor people in the country and the rise in poverty in Iran.
