Putin criticizes the West’s role in Ukraine

The President of Russia, in an official ceremony to receive the credentials of the new US ambassador to Moscow, claimed once again that Washington is responsible for the conflicts in Ukraine.

Vladimir Putin, on Thursday, April 16, in this televised meeting, stated that the relations between Russia and the United States, which are crucial for global security and stability, are unfortunately going through a deep crisis.

He referred to the protests in Ukraine in 2014, which led to the overthrow of the Moscow-backed government in Kiev, as a coup and added that he cannot say that the US support for the Kiev coup in 2014 ultimately led to the current crisis in Ukraine.
