Japan’s new satellite launcher exploded by sending a signal
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) destroyed the new H3 satellite launcher on Tuesday, March 7, after a failure in the ignition of the second stage. The H3 is part of the first series of new rockets developed by Japan in the past two decades.
The three-week hiatus due to a technical flaw and the ultimately unsuccessful launch of the H3 was a setback for Japan’s space program and a disappointment for space technology enthusiasts.
