The wheat ship from Ukraine has left for Egypt.
Ukrainian authorities announced on Friday that a ship carrying wheat from the country’s port is heading to Egypt. They stated that this is the second time this week that a ship has used the sea corridor created by Kyiv to bypass the blockade and threats from Russia.
Alexander Kubrakov, the Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure, announced on X Network that the Avriat ship, loaded with 17,600 tons of wheat, has left the port of Chornomorsk for Egypt. The first wheat-loaded ship had also left the same port on September 19th.
While Ukraine seeks to establish secure sea routes for its agricultural exports, Moscow has signed agreements allowing the transfer of Ukrainian agricultural products through the Black Sea.
The new sea corridors along the coasts of allied countries to the Bosporus Strait ignore the Russian threats to sink ships entering and leaving Ukrainian ports.
Russia has not attacked these corridors, but it regularly bombs grain facilities in Ukrainian ports.
