Telephone conversation between Raisi and Putin
Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Kremlin, announced on Tuesday that there was a telephone conversation between Ibrahim Raisi and Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia. However, no details of their conversation were disclosed, and it was only mentioned that both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining contact.
Nevertheless, the political deputy of Ibrahim Raisi’s office revealed some details of this conversation on Twitter and stated that Mr. Putin discussed initiatives for transit development with Ayatollah Raisi.
Mohammad Jamsheedi added that the second phase of Eurasian convergence is a part of President Raisi’s neighborhood policy, which includes initiatives such as the Belt and Road Initiative and the North-South Corridor with Russia.
The political deputy of Ibrahim Raisi’s office emphasized that the goal is to increase the country’s economic growth and strengthen Iran’s position in the global geoeconomy.
