21 Instagram pages with a large number of followers were blocked.
As the commander of the law enforcement in the western Tehran province has announced, the ‘Noor’ plan has been implemented in the virtual space as well. In this regard, 21 Instagram pages promoting misconduct in the western province have been identified and dealt with.
Kioumarth Azizi, the commander of the law enforcement in the western Tehran province, stated that during the implementation of the ‘Noor’ plan with the approach of monitoring activities in the virtual space, information about the activities of several pages regarding the publication of inappropriate and misconduct images was obtained by the surveillance of public security and cyber police officers in the virtual space, and the matter is under police investigation.
He said that public security police officers identified 21 Instagram pages with a large number of followers and took legal action by cleaning and blocking the announced pages along with their administrators.
According to the commander of the law enforcement in the western Tehran province, the police continuously monitor various social media pages and virtual spaces, and in case of any crimes occurring in these spaces, they will take legal action against the perpetrators.
