A Polish company has been accused of selling parts for use in Iranian drones.

Polish radio Zet reported that a state-owned company of Poland has sold and exported parts that ultimately ended up in Iranian drones used in the conflict in Ukraine.

The private radio station stated on Friday, July 28th, without citing a source, that prosecutors have been investigating this issue since 2022.

Reuters reports that Polish prosecutors have confirmed in response to an email from the news agency that they are investigating the possibility of exporting dual-use goods made in Poland, without mentioning Iran.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has provided Moscow with thousands of drones since Russia’s attack on Ukraine in February 2022. These drones have been used to degrade Ukrainian air defenses and strike non-military infrastructure.

As a NATO member, Poland has been a key supporter of Ukraine, both during the previous nationalist government and under the leadership of Donald Tusk.
