Eskandar Jahangir replaced Masoud Stayeshi

Asghar Jahangir replaced Masoud Setayeshi.

By the decree of Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, the head of the judiciary, Asghar Jahangir was appointed as the social deputy for crime prevention of the judiciary while retaining his position as the spokesperson of the judiciary, replacing Masoud Setayeshi who had been in this position since April 2022.

Jahangir has held various positions including the presidency of the Prisons Organization, judge of the Supreme Court, acting head of the Government Employees’ Court, advisor to the head of the judiciary, head of the Special Inspection Office of the judiciary, and the social deputy for crime prevention of the judiciary.
