Hassan Rouhani will soon publish his response to the Guardian Council’s letter regarding my disqualification.
Hassan Rouhani announced in his sessions with ministers and vice presidents in the eleventh and twelfth governments that he will release his response to the Guardian Council’s letter for disqualification in the upcoming sixth round of the Assembly of Experts elections. He stated that he will address the criticisms of the Guardian Council so that the people are informed about the council members’ understanding of the country’s vital issues.
The disqualification reasons include allegations of insulting the judiciary and the Guardian Council, as well as not standing up to the West and problems in implementing the JCPOA. The response is because I believe the position of the Guardian Council is sacred, and this council was formed so that people can be assured that the laws enacted are not against Islamic principles and the constitution.
If the Guardian Council’s arbitration is doubted, it will strike a blow to our republicanism and Islamism. A minority government, parliament, and Assembly of Experts are not in the interest of the country and the system. Therefore, we must feel responsible, not remain silent, and encourage people to participate in all matters and support the system and the country.
