The head of the Medical Election Headquarters is seeking to lift sanctions.
Abdulalizadeh, the head of the Medical Election Headquarters, is currently a candidate for maintaining the current situation and violence, but the medical candidates are seeking to lift the sanctions.
Masoud, the head of the election headquarters, said in a live Instagram press conference that if it becomes apparent in the first stage, now the competition is between ideologies. One candidate supports continuing the current situation, sanctions, and opposition to joining the international community and violence. On the other hand, the medical candidate supports lifting sanctions, ending sanctions, and establishing fair relations with countries worldwide based on mutual respect.
He mentioned about the second round of elections that it’s better for this choice to be between two people and move towards ideologies.
Mr. Abdulalizadeh emphasized that criticizing the opponent’s viewpoints is necessary for the elections.
He said that fortunately, with the cooperation of the Guardian Council, the Ministry of Interior, the country’s election headquarters, and the four active election candidates, the first stage was held properly and satisfactorily.
According to Masoud, there is an opportunity for the two final candidates to present their last thoughts on the country’s future to the people.
Iranian state media have reported that there will likely be a debate between Masoud Pezeshkian and Saeed Jalili on state television.
