Iran calls the Group of Seven's statement against the intensification of its nuclear program provocative

Iran called the Group of Seven’s statement against the intensification of its nuclear program malicious.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Naser Kanaani, on Monday referred to the Group of Seven’s statement condemning Iran’s intensified nuclear activities, advising the group to distance themselves from destructive policies of the past by learning from past experiences.

The Group of Seven wealthy and democratic countries warned on Friday against advancing Iran’s nuclear enrichment program and also cautioned that if Tehran transfers its ballistic missiles to Russia, they will be ready to take appropriate actions.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson on Monday stated that some countries rely on baseless and unproven claims to continue sanctions against Iran, saying any attempt to link the conflict in Ukraine to bilateral cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia is a politically motivated action.
