Masoud Pezeshkian will run for election
Masoud Pezeshkian, the representative of Tabriz in the parliament, announced his readiness to run for the fourteenth presidential election, stating that his intention to participate in the election is to increase public participation and bring some individuals to the ballot boxes at a time when there is a perception domestically and internationally that people are upset with the ballots.
Pezeshkian stated that his personal goal is to increase participation, but if we can consult with different conservative and reformist figures and transform the confrontational atmosphere in the country into interaction, it will be valuable because we will only succeed when we participate and interact with each other. The election arena is a competition arena, not interaction, and what determines the general policies of the system is declared by the leadership.
Regarding the support of reformists for his presence in the upcoming elections, he said he is waiting for the announcement of the presence of reformist figures so that by evaluating the weight of the present individuals based on their popularity, ability, and capacity to increase participation, he can decide on consensus or independent entry into this arena.
