Masoumeh Ebtekar tells us that you were deceived into thinking you made a revolution.
Masoumeh Ebtekar stated this during a speech to political activists at the Election Discussion House.
No matter how much we explain to the youth, they tell us that we were deceived. I say that choosing to participate in the revolution and accompany the Imam was a conscious decision accompanied by awareness and understanding. But the youth of today say that at that time, you were fed certain words and believed that people were not meant to be the decision-makers from the beginning.
This is the voice of today’s young generation, blaming us for going along with the events of the revolution and now we are left in the current situation.
Certainly, we have representatives for the young generation who are mobilized and supportive of the government, but do we have such representatives for the general public? Does a young girl who protests against many issues see any options among the candidates to vote for and hope to bring about change in the future?
