Mohammad Ali Oloumi, a researcher and Shahnameh scholar from Iran, passed away.
Mohammad Ali Oloumi, a writer, researcher of Shahnameh, and Iranian satirist, passed away at the age of 63.
According to Iranian news agencies, he passed away on Monday, 16th of Ordibehesht, in his hometown of Bam due to illness.
Mr. Oloumi, a graduate in political science from the University of Tehran, began his journalism career in the 1960s at Ettelaat newspaper. In the 1970s, he also entered the field of fictional literature and cultural studies.
Some of his famous novels include ‘The Mourning of Maghan’, ‘Azarstan’s Darkness’, ‘Sorrowful Stories’, ‘Thousand and One Nights’, ‘The Small House’, and ‘The Gift of the Hero’.
