The representative of Tabriz voting for Ahmadinejad at the last moment was a kind of protest

Tabriz representative stated that Ahmadinejad’s last-minute voting was a form of protest.

Alireza Bigi, Tabriz representative, explained Ahmadinejad’s last-minute voting in the twelfth parliamentary elections and said that Ahmadinejad’s voting was also a form of protest as they went to vote at the last moment.

Ahmadinejad voted to clear himself of the accusation that some say he has ambitions for the Islamic post-presidency. Despite being advised by a doctor not to expose his eyes to wind due to recent eyelid surgery, he participated in the elections solely to prove that he does not have aspirations for the post-presidency in the Islamic Republic.
