A nurse at the Suicide Medical University had no connection with work issues

The suicide of a nurse at Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences was not related to work issues.

One day after the suicide news of a 32-year-old nurse working at Imam Khomeini Hospital in Kermanshah affiliated with Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences was released, the nurse denied the suicide reasons related to work issues through public statements.

In the statement, it was mentioned that the nursing project duration is 24 months, which can be extended up to 53 months based on circumstances. Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences claimed that the nurse’s project had ended after the legal 53-month period on 20th Mehr last year.

Reports citing the nurse’s friends stated that after the non-renewal of his contract and due to mental pressures, he ended his life.

Mohammad Sharifi Moghadam, the Secretary-General of the Nursing Home, also confirmed this to the ILNA news agency, saying that he was a project nurse, and his project had been extended until recently during the COVID-19 days. However, his contract was not renewed a few months ago, and after being unemployed for a while, unfortunately, he ended his life.
