Tajzadeh explained the reasons for participating in the elections.
Mustafa Tajzadeh, a political activist imprisoned, explained his reasons for not participating in this year’s presidential elections and said that if the policies of the Islamic Republic’s leadership do not change, the government of Masoud Pezeshkian will suffer a fate similar to the second term of Hassan Rouhani’s government.
In letters published on Thursday, July 27, he stated that his silence and not declaring his position on the election boycott did not prevent the promotion of the election project of Mr. Pezeshkian and his supporters, especially Mohammad Khatami.
Mr. Tajzadeh, referring to the supporters of the Islamic Republic’s leadership whom he called ‘istisvabiyan,’ said they will use all their resources against the fourteenth government.
This reformist political activist mentioned the possibility of Donald Trump returning to power in the U.S. and said that the opponents of the Pezeshkian government are trying to bring down his government like the second term of Hassan Rouhani’s government and make it fail.
