The head of the judiciary in Kurdistan province is launching a special branch for cases of unveiling hijab.
The chief of judiciary in Kurdistan province stated that the implementation of the hijab and chastity plan should be carried out in a way that avoids confrontation between the people and law enforcement officers. He announced the establishment of a special dedicated branch for unveiling hijab cases at the revolutionary court in Sanandaj.
He divided the offenders of unveiling into three categories, stating that the first category consists of individuals who unintentionally unveil their hijab. Our main approach towards these individuals is verbal warning as education begins with a sincere dialogue and certainly yields results.
Referring to the identification of the second category of individuals who, despite various warnings, attempt to promote non-Islamic dress in society and turn unveiling into a cultural issue, he mentioned that legal actions are being taken against them according to the law. He emphasized that necessary legal actions will be taken against these individuals.
He mentioned that the third category consists of individuals who are somewhat organized in this path. These individuals will also be identified by the relevant authorities and dealt with decisively.
