The French Minister of Defense has become a security challenge for Europe from Iran

The French Defense Minister says Iran has become a security challenge for Europe.

The French Defense Minister stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has become a security challenge for Europe; however, France does not intend to engage in military conflict with Iran.

In an interview published in Le Parisien on Monday, Sebastien Lecornu addressed Iran’s unprecedented attack on Israel, tensions in the Middle East, and France’s role in the region.

He mentioned that the Islamic Republic of Iran has prioritized insecurity and instability in the region, a stance that Paris condemns.

Mr. Lecornu stated that Iran poses a security challenge not only for Israel and regional countries but also for Europe.

The French Defense Minister added that France has maritime interests in the Middle East and therefore protects French warships from potentially being targeted by hostile attacks.
