The International Court of Justice ordered Israel to stop its military attack on Rafah

The International Court of Justice ordered Israel to halt its military attack on Rafah.

Judges of the UN High Court issued an order to Israel on Friday, June 4, to stop its military attack on the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.

The International Court of Justice stated that it was not convinced that the evacuation of Rafah and other actions by Israel to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians had been sufficient.

Nawaf Salam, who chaired today’s session, said that the interim measures ordered by the court in March are currently not fully addressing the situation in Gaza, and conditions have arisen for a new emergency situation.

He added that Israel must immediately halt its military attack in Rafah.
