The United States and Britain have imposed more sanctions on Iran

The United States and Britain have imposed more sanctions on Iran.

On Thursday, the United States imposed additional sanctions on Iran targeting the sale of drones and Iranian goods, including the use of Iranian drones by Russia in the Ukraine conflict.

On the same day, it was reported that Britain has added six new names related to individuals and organizations in the defense sector of the Islamic Republic to its sanctions list.

In a statement on Thursday, a spokesperson for the US State Department provided details of these new sanctions. The United States today imposes sanctions on 16 entities and 8 individuals and identifies five ships and one aircraft as blocked assets that have facilitated illegal trade and the sale of unmanned aerial vehicles in support of Iran’s Ministry of Defense and armed forces, as well as the regime’s drone development and procurement.

The British Foreign Office also states that it has placed six individuals in connection with the production of Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles on its sanctions list.
