When injustice happens, it is when the officials of the Islamic Republic do not hear the voices of the protesters

Ali Khamenei says oppression occurs when the officials of the Islamic Republic do not listen to the voices of the protesters.

Whenever we think that we have somehow offended this great nation with its rich culture and caused concern within ourselves, it is our own disgrace.

Whenever we feel that we are more religious than the Iranian people, more compassionate towards Islam than the Iranian people, and more devoted to Islamic laws than the Iranian people, we should know that those are the moments when our decline begins.

Guardianship of the Jurist is a legal and jurisprudential position, and it does not contradict being a servant. In Islamic law, there are certain limitations to keep the hands of this servant open, and you grant him guardianship. It is not contradictory for him to be a servant and also a jurist, as Imam used to say and it exists in our jurisprudence. Don’t say why the Imam proves the Guardianship of the Jurist and then considers himself a servant.

Opponents and those who issue statements day and night from outside the country have no more valid argument than the fundamental principles of the Iranian Revolution. We suffer because we distance ourselves from these principles.

The Imam told the people that these are your demands, and this nation has risen from all corners of the country. It is an injustice to think that they have become irreligious, and we should make them religious. It is a lack of culture to think that they have become uncultured, and we should make them cultured.

Who led the war that happened? How patient this nation is! In this revolution, how many mistakes and inexperience have occurred! And how many economic corruptions have been heard every morning! There was a time when the nation did not do the work they were supposed to do.

In moments of crisis, when everyone was hopeless, when everyone was praying, this nation took a step back. In the war, when the East and West attacked you, when there was no hope, this nation retreated. In these economic sanctions, according to Western interpretation, they are still paralyzing. How did this nation and government not become paralyzed?

The Iranian nation’s group of believers have a deeper faith in the foremost believers of Islam. These sincere believers, whom God says are the companions of Paradise, say to God, ‘Give us what you promised.’

If the Iranian people ask us for such a thing, we will be diverted between being pro-West or pro-East. If they ask us whether these economic corruptions were part of your promises or not, it was part of the promises that the President of the Islamic Republic should come with a pickaxe and go with a Benz, or it was not. Leave the impossible tasks. We should not get involved with those who sit in the West and say something, deceived or polluted the water with gestures and money.

In fact, injustice happens when the President of the Islamic Republic says, ‘You see what slogans they have and what insults they make.’ This nation is patient but protesting. We are all protesting, God willing, the government of Imam Mahdi (as) is a complete government. When there is a flaw, there must be protest. If there was no protest and there was deadly silence, we would have been afraid.

If our officials made any mistakes, people would just stand by and watch. We should have said either this nation is dead or this is Saddam’s rule where no voice is heard. The fact that our society cries out is because of being Muslim and does not allow any missteps. This is what our Prophet (PBUH) and our authentic Iranian identity have taught us. Iranian identity has its privileges, and we should not underestimate it. Sociologists have listed the characteristics of this Iranian identity. It is a great nation that has solved problems wherever they have gone and all doors have been opened.

If we turn to the nation, we have won, and if we see ourselves as separate and divided, we have lost. Just as the past generations have lost, even Halal profit is forbidden for the officials of the Islamic Republic. We are not against wealth, and in fact, many of the wealthy have shouldered the burden of cultural development. But if you want to take responsibility in the Islamic Republic, don’t think about pocketing money, come for service and work for God.

This should be our issue, and we should look for solutions for it. We cannot rely on justice in any case. In any case, we are hopeful and reliant on our own nation.
