Report on the problems of prisoners held in Ward 8 of Evin Prison
Haran News Agency reports that prisoners held in Ward 8 of Evin Prison are facing problems such as overcrowding, lack of adherence to the principle of crime separation, and the spread of influenza.
Furthermore, these prisoners are deprived of their basic rights from the very beginning, including access to hygiene supplies and sufficient food.
According to Harana News Agency, the news organization of the human rights activists in Iran, prisoners held in Ward 8 of Evin Prison, where some political and security prisoners are kept, are facing numerous problems.
Currently, the number of residents in Ward 8 of Evin Prison has increased to 150, which is approximately double the capacity of this ward. According to the family of one of these prisoners, the lack of adherence to the principle of crime separation and the transfer of general crime prisoners to this ward has added to the concerns of the families of political and security prisoners.
