Abbas Abdi wrote in Etemad newspaper that the trial of Sepideh Rashno must definitely be public, with the presence of a chosen lawyer and in accordance with fair trial procedures. There is no justification for making it non-public.
How is it that everything in this case is resolved quickly, yet there is a lack of a judicial case regarding the various extensive violations that have been documented for many years in the parliamentary investigation report on the Mobarakeh Steel Company?
Imam Ali tried several people on charges similar to this woman’s, and dealt with several others on financial charges or even less, for demands much smaller than these astronomical violations. Do you not think that this clear difference speaks volumes about many matters?
