Ali Daei’s meeting with Infantino after leaving the country

Ali Daei, the former captain of the Iranian national football team, met with Gianni Infantino, the FIFA president, after leaving Iran.

This meeting took place on the eve of the 2022 Best Football Awards, which will be held in Paris on Monday.

Iranian news sources had reported on Sunday that Ali Daei’s travel ban had been lifted with the aim of facilitating his presence at the Best Football Awards ceremony in Paris.

Ali Daei had been banned from leaving the country in recent months due to his involvement in widespread protests in Iran.

He had also reported in December the return of the passenger plane carrying his wife and daughter from halfway to Dubai, by Iranian security forces.
