Amir Reisiyan, the lawyer of Tomaj Salehi, announced that the one-year imprisonment sentence has been overturned.
Tomaj Salehi’s lawyer has reported the finalization of the one-year imprisonment sentence for this protesting rapper in the provincial court of Isfahan.
Amir Reisiyan, a judicial attorney, told ILNA news agency that our objection to the initial one-year imprisonment sentence has been rejected in the appeal branch of Isfahan, and his sentence is considered final.
He stated that this sentence is legally final, but nevertheless, we will continue our objection through other means, including requesting a retrial and invoking Article 477.
This conviction is related to the second case that was formed against Tomaj Salehi after his re-arrest in Azar (November-December) of this year.
His first case, with charges of deputyship in armed rebellion and conspiring against the system and society, and committing crimes against security, has been referred by the Supreme Court for further review, and it is currently being examined in the Revolutionary Court of Isfahan.
Tomaj Salehi was arrested again in the city of Babol on Friday, 9th of Azar, 1402 (November 30, 2023), shortly after his release from prison, through beatings and violence.
