Amnesty International calls for the halt of Mohammad Ghobadlou’s execution

Amnesty International, in a series of tweets, expressed concern over the situation of 22-year-old Mohammad Ghobadlou, whose death sentence has been upheld by the Supreme Court. They have called on the international community to use every tool at their disposal to pressure Iranian authorities to halt his execution and prevent Iran’s death machine from claiming another victim.

Amnesty International also stated that they have serious concerns about torture and other mistreatment of Mohammad Ghobadlou. The official forensic report mentions bruises and injuries on his body that were present at the time of his arrest.

Today, the Supreme Court announced in an amendment that it has rejected Mohammad Ghobadlou’s appeal, one of the defendants in the recent protests.
