An active worker's statistics show higher inflation compared to last year

An active labor activist shows statistics of higher inflation compared to last year.

Abdullah Balvasi, a labor activist, protested against this year’s wage decision, stating that the thirteenth government has imposed a marginal 35% increase on workers and wage earners, while all statistics and figures, even official ones, show higher inflation and costliness compared to last year.

This labor activist mentioned that big employers hire non-Iranian and illegal workers with low wages to keep their costs down, and even allow them to work with much lower wages in exchange for allowing them to work illegally.

Balvasi stated that as workers and wage earners step into the new year, from these early days of the year, we are witnessing a further decline in the value of the rial, and the fall of the rial leads to an increase in the prices of all public necessities, which workers and wage earners have to bear the cost of.
