Another Life Lost Among the Baloch Protesters

Another life of a Baloch fuel carrier was lost

According to the Baloch Activists Campaign, on the evening of Monday, December 12, 2022, two Baloch fuel carriers lost their lives due to an accident and the car catching fire in Dashtiari County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

The report does not mention further details, but the identities of these two Baloch fuel carriers are given as Khalil Sheikh, son of Lalbakhsh, and Mehrzad Tajazai, son of Shafimohammad, from the village of Ragiti, a part of Dashtiari.

The IRGC forces and border guards consistently shoot at fuel carriers just for carrying a few gallons of fuel. In recent years, the killing of fuel carriers in Iran’s border areas has led to the formation of social protests.

According to statistics published in 2021, at least 87 fuel carriers lost their lives while transporting fuel due to shootings by officers or accidents, and 31 others were injured.

Among the deceased, three were children under 18 years old.
