Arrest of several South Pars contractors due to strike

Iranian media report the arrest of several contractors in the South Pars economic zone due to their support for workers’ strikes.

Fars News Agency, close to the Revolutionary Guards, wrote on Wednesday that the arrest of these individuals was carried out through intelligence monitoring by the Ministry of Intelligence agents.

According to this report, these contractors are accused of supporting calls and actions against the revolution and creating strikes in development projects in the South Pars industrial area.

Pressure on strikers in the South Pars area is occurring while earlier, the CEO of the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone had threatened workers who went on strike in various parts of this area.
