Ayub Ghaibipour, a citizen protester from Ahvaz, was sentenced to 11 years in prison and exile to Kerman prison as a detainee of the Women’s Rights Movement.
According to Hengaw, this protester, who is 30 years old, was sentenced to 10 years in prison and exile to Kerman prison for the charge of insurgency, and one year in prison for propaganda against the government by the Ahvaz Revolutionary Court.
This political prisoner had previously been sentenced to 35 years in prison, exile to Kerman prison for charges of deliberate arson, destruction of public property, and propaganda against the regime by the Ahvaz Revolutionary Court.
The arrest of this protester was accompanied by beatings in front of his family. He suffered severe abdominal distress in prison and underwent surgery secretly without examination due to deteriorating conditions.
According to Mosi Barzin, a judicial lawyer, the authorities performed surgery on this political prisoner without informing his family, and it is unclear what exact procedure was carried out on him.
