Bloomberg: Strengthening Israel’s Relations with Saudi Arabia to Counter Iran
According to several sources, the new Israeli government, with the support of the United States, has increased negotiations with Saudi Arabia to develop military and intelligence relations in light of concerns about Iran.
Officials from both governments held meetings prior to the session of the Security and Defense Working Group of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the United States.
These meetings are confidential, and the next sessions are scheduled to take place in Prague simultaneously with the Munich Conference.
Dana Stroul, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Middle East Affairs, who was present in Riyadh on Monday, stated that contact and dialogue between other countries in the region and Israel are in the interest of regional stability and security.
