Britain, France, and Germany accuse Iran of continuing its provocative nuclear path.
In a joint statement, Britain, France, and Germany accused Iran of escalating its provocative path by increasingly violating its commitments under the JCPOA.
These three European countries stated in their statement, released on Thursday, March 5th, simultaneously with the IAEA Board of Governors meeting, that Iran has advanced its nuclear activities over the past five years to a level unprecedented for a non-nuclear-armed country.
The International Atomic Energy Agency announced in a confidential report to the Board of Governors last week that Iran has reduced its stockpile of 60% enriched uranium over the past three months, and the purity level of its 60% enriched uranium has decreased by 5% compared to November.
Britain, France, and Germany, in their statement, referring to this excerpt from the report by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, stated that Iran now has 27 times the JCPOA’s permissible limit of enriched uranium. The recent partial reduction in enriched uranium reserves to 60% should not mislead us into false hope and conclusions. Enrichment up to the 60% level has continued uninterrupted.
