According to this report, Salman Samani, a 42-year-old former deputy minister of Iran, is facing expulsion due to sanctions imposed against officials of this country a year ago.

The Canadian Border Services Agency has requested that the Immigration and Refugee Board hold hearings to investigate this matter.
