Chinese buses are cheaper than domestic buses.

Alireza Zakani, the mayor of Tehran, has stated about purchasing electric buses from China that these buses have very good quality and capabilities, and the price difference between these buses and domestic electric buses is between 5 to 6 billion Tomans per bus.

Zakani, who previously caused controversy by entrusting housing construction to the Chinese, further defended the purchase of Chinese buses by saying that Chinese buses are actually much cheaper than domestic buses. For 2500 electric buses, around 15 trillion Tomans can be saved.
