Forced retirement for 9 professors
The news website Ruydad 24 reports that 9 professors from the Azad University have been issued a forced retirement order.
Dr. Sussan Safavardi, Dr. Aliakbar Amini, Dr. Sajjadi, Dr. Alireza Radmehr, Dr. Hossein Tafazoli, Dr. Didkhut Sadeghi, Dr. Mohammadali Khasrovi, Dr. Malektagh Khasrovi, and Dr. Bijan Neiri are the 9 professors who have received retirement orders.
Safavardi, one of these individuals, has stated that in the past two to three years, based on the new policy of the presidency of the Faculty of Political Science at Azad University, more than 15 external individuals who were qualified to teach were brought to the university, and sometimes they would teach our specialized courses. The dean of the faculty publicly stated that teaching should be done by revolutionary individuals. In the past few terms, we have witnessed a soft purge in the faculty.
Safavardi has said that the 9 of us, who have received forced retirement orders under the pretext of age and retirement benefits from the Social Security Organization, have been repeatedly accused of being anti-revolutionary. They have also used the same arguments to justify the disregard for our teaching rights in the current term.
