Congress Representatives’ Request for Action Against Iran’s Drone Industries

60 members of the US Congress have demanded in letters to President Joe Biden and his three cabinet ministers to target Iran’s drone program.

These representatives have written that we are deeply concerned about reports indicating that Iranian-made drones inspected in Ukraine contain components produced in the United States.

These representatives further urge the Biden administration to cut off Iran’s supply chain by adopting a coordinated and reciprocal approach, shutting down companies aiding Iran in circumventing sanctions, and pressuring US allies in Europe and Asia to stop distributing these components.

Congress representatives state that while this process has already begun and is underway to some extent, they request further and more targeted steps to be taken and plans to be considered for the future.
