Cultural Heritage Prohibits Tourists from Entering the Desert to Preserve the Sanctity of Laylat al-Qadr

Cultural heritage sites have been closed to tourists entering the desert to preserve the sanctity of Laylat al-Qadr.

The head of the Cultural Heritage Office of Aran and Bidgol in Isfahan said that the entry of tourists into desert areas such as Marnjab and Siyahgol from the 19th to the 23rd of Ramadan has been prohibited by the decision of the County Travel Services Headquarters, with the aim of preserving the sanctity of Laylat al-Qadr and the blessed month of Ramadan.

Javad Abdoli added in an interview with IRNA on Friday that only tourists who have previously booked accommodation in desert tourist complexes will be allowed entry, and entry to the desert will be prohibited for other tourists.

Marnjab, with its capacity for activities such as desert trekking, off-road motorcycling, camel safaris, and sand skiing, annually hosts tens of thousands of domestic and foreign tourists.
